My day...

Today was a great day, and it was a difficult day.

First of all, it was difficult because of the fact that my web portfolio site at joeycagle.net was down. A church had e-mailed me the other day, looking for web designers, and I sent them my web address. Well the pastor tried to look at the site while it was down. Well, he e-mailed me today, saying that he was not impressed and thought it was a bad reflection on a web designer when his/her web site is down. Keep in mind, I have not had much problem with this web host I use, and I am pretty much a satisfied customer of theirs, but nothing on the internet is 100% secure. Web sites will go down occasionally.

So he told me if the web site was up in the next 24 hours (it's back up now) he'll take a look at it, and if he's interested, he'll get back in touch with me. He mentioned lastly in his e-mail that if they're not interested in me, that he wishes me best of luck in my future endeavors.

So, first thing that comes to mind is "could I have possibly lost an opportunity because my web site is down?" The holy spirit eventually told me that the web site being down didn't cost me any job. See, God could very well have something better for me. Yes, the enemy could be trying to attack and bring my web site down. Or, perhaps God has something better planned for me. I wouldn't be surprised if both are happening, really. But I can't loose what wasn't mine in the first place, and God may be wanting to give me something so much better. Even if it is an attack from the enemy, he can't win. The God I am following is much bigger than Satan and his plans. Because of God, we are more than conquerors. I'm not worried right now.

OK, other stuff...Good stuff...

A couple of friends of mine from New Beginnings Church back at home came out here to California and were at Bethel Church tonight. Also, some more are coming (you New Beginnings people reading my blog know who they are) for a conference for pastors and leaders. It was great talking with them. From what they are telling me, God is really moving out there. They also told me about some challenges some of the other members of the New Beginnings family are facing. Satan doesn't like the fact that God is moving there, so of course he's trying to attack. But as I said, God is bigger. We have a great big God, and there's a little bitty devil. There's a song about that, actually. But I know some things specifically to pray. Also, someone who I haven't seen in a long time, a pastor from another church in Clayton, is coming out here from what I understand. Well then, this next week is going to rock!
