On Todd Bentley...

In recent months, Todd has made some bad decisions and covered it up.  This was in the middle of a great outpouring of the holy spirit.

The ramifications of this are great (and not in a good way).  And I'm already seeing this split the spirit filled church, in a time where the part of the Christian church who isn't part of the spirit filled movement has declared war on us.  It would seem they have won.

But they haven't.

This does not change who God is.  God still does signs, wonders, and miracles today. 

Back to Todd. 

He has messed up greatly.  But so have other men and women of God.  One that comes to mind frequently is David.  He was an adulterer and a murderer, yet God called him a man after his own heart.

The decisions that Todd Bentley has made are horrible.  There's no question about it.  We can't just sweep sin under the rug. 

My friends, the sin has great power.  It has the power to take people to Hell.  But I know of something that has even more power, that can keep you from going to Hell.  It's the precious blood of the lamb.  There is wonder working power in the blood of the lamb.

Todd just needs to repent, apply this blood, and get healing in the areas of his life where he's hurting. And I believe that will happen. He's applied the blood before, and I don't see why he wouldn't do it again.

Todd is a spiritual son of Bill Johnson.  I'm currently part of Bill's church, and my church back at home is under Bethel.  So Todd is like family to me, even though I've never even met him. 

The opportunity for true restoration (and I believe the restoration includes repentance, and this one, I believe, will have to be a public one) is there.  I'm with Bill Johnson on this one.  I'm not going to just cut off connection with him because he messed up.  I have biological family members that have made bad decisions, but it doesn't mean I cut off connection with them.  As with my biological family, the same with my spiritual family.
