Todd Bentley and the revival...

In recent days, you may have heard that Todd and Shonnah Bentley were separated.  And as of yesterday, it was revealed that Todd had entered into an unhealthy relationship with another female member of his staff.

I think this is very unfortunate, and is definitely not the will of God.  We need to continue to pray for Todd and Shonnah.  Fortunately, Todd has agreed to step down from the Fresh Fire board of directors and from public ministry for a season.

Some will try to use this to say the revival is fake.  First of all, this revival isn't even about Todd.  It is about God. This revival is not fake.  There has been real salvation, healing, and deliverance taking place at this revival.  The revival went on even on the days Todd was not there.  People I had never heard of before spoke, and God moved just as powerfully.

Some people will probably try to accuse Todd himself of being fake.  He may be more real than you realize.  Todd made mistakes.  I don't know that Todd is denying anything.  So I don't get the impression he's covering up anything or that he's proud of what has happened.

Continue to pray for Todd and Shonnah.  Unfortunately, sometimes we make bad choices.  All of us are guilty of this.  I think Todd is approaching this the right way.  I hope his marriage does not end in divorce.  I hate divorce.  God hates it too.

Todd is in a season where he has some issues he needs to have worked out.  This revival has been a learning experience for him.  Pray for his marriage, and I believe we'll see everything worked out, and God will use him again in an even mightier move and he won't stumble.

I think Todd is an amazing man of God and I will continue to support him.  I won't say bad things about him when other people are going to.
