School and stuff - breaking the recent silence in my blog

We had John and Carol Arnott from Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship this past week. It was really good.

The school has been amazing so far.

I haven't been able to blog much during the school year, and honestly, I really don't know how much time I'll have. But I'll keep everyone updated.

I will be removing the chipin widgets. First of all, they've expired, and second of all, no one even used them. People are more likely to just use straight paypal or send a check in the mail.

OK, so here's how I'm doing financially. Del Taco doesn't have any hours right now. My church back at home is helping with finances and they have no intention of stopping. They're totally supporting me and as long as their finances can allow it, they're helping me.  But due to giving being down and a well known revivalist starting a church in the Raleigh area drawing some of the people to my church to his, there hasn't been quite as much. It's been difficult for them.

God has been providing for school, and for other things as well. We all got some free tri-tip steak over the weekend. It's really good stuff.

My finances aren't so hot at the moment...$.39 in paypal and $.17 in Wamu. But the payment was made for school this month. Someone gave. I don't know who, but I'm greatful for $300 that came in. Hopefully I'll be getting some money from the church back at home. On top of that, we are required to go on a mission trip, and I'm going to Guadalajara, Mexico. That means I need $100 for a passport and $110 in for the mission trip. This $110 is due on November 28.

For my November school payment, I will need about $300 (I'm a little more than $75 ahead right now).

So of course, I'm going to put what I can towards this, but I am definitely needing some help with it. Total cost for the Guadalajara trip, not including the passport, is $1,100.  I still have $2,545.25 that I owe for school.

I ask that more money be put toward school expenses rather than the mission trip, since that's the greater expense and the one that will keep me in school if it's paid. This is not tax deductible. I think it can be tax deductible if sent through New Beginnings Church, though. I could be totally wrong there, though. They are supporting me as a missionary to Redding.

When giving for my schooling, you're not just giving for schooling. We have outreaches that we do, and I'm on the junior high outreach team. We will be going to a middle school every Thursday and reaching out to the kids in the after school program there. I'm excited to be a part of that, and I am believing for these kids' lives to be greatly impacted in a positive way, and for them to come to know Jesus and to have a personal relationship with God.
