How are you doing?
I'm doing well.
The Owen Hurter Band played at my home church, New Beginnings Church, in Clayton, NC last weekend. Of course I wasn't there, I'm 3,000 miles away in California. But I heard it was really good. Owen mentioned that he had never seen God move so powerfully and wonderfully in a church service. I think that's saying something if it's coming from someone who was part of the Toronto revival. Go New Beginnings Church!
Of course I'm experiencing revival here in Redding, California at New Beginnings Church. We continue to see people get saved, healed, and set free here. It's awesome.
God still continues to teach me to trust in him. I guess it's a life long process, really, but that's really the focus of my life right now. That's what this season is about. And the really funny thing is, it's pretty much a test, and God isn't letting me fail. I could choose to go home, and pretty much did a couple of times, but God doesn't let me. And I've been greatly blessed by him.
I was looking back over my previous blogs. I never did mention that my truck was fixed. I prayed with TJ, the guy who was working on it, that he would get supernatural knowledge about how to fix the control arm. Then one day, he had some free time, and went in and got it fixed. He didn't buy any books on control arms or anything. He did it all by the holy spirit.
I'm still leading worship at Redding House of Prayer on Thursdays and Fridays, as well as other nights when no one else is playing and I feel like leading worship. It has been amazing. God has really showed up there, even on the nights where there has been just a few of us.
I'm finally getting my team together for worship. We lead worship together twice this week. There are still some "bugs in the system" I guess, but it's getting a lot better.
Redding House of Prayer is moving this Monday. For those who haven't heard about it moving yet, it's moving to 3310 Churn Creek. It's a nice place, and I'm really excited about it. It's right across from Enterprise High School, which is great considering that RedHOP is lead by a youth evangelist. Many of the high school students are going to get saved there.
I've met some amazing people here in Redding. Van Mason, the youth evangelist that runs RedHOP being one of them. Pretty much all the ministry school students here are amazing, and nothing like ministry school students I knew back at home. They are just seemingly regular people, and they're not afraid to go into public places, pray for the sick and injured, and share Jesus. I've been amazed by the openness. Being around ministry school students, I find they're not afraid to share what they're struggling with.
Your theology and doctrine really get challenged here. It's challenged in a good way, I think. Quite frankly, some of my theology and doctrine needs to be changed too.
I could go on and on, and I kind of want to, but I'll just stop here. The summary is that God is doing amazing things.
